Art Epic - Art Epic Award Faces and Figures Exhibition

Welcome to Art Epic Gallery ONLINE! Art Epic recognizes and rewards the creativity and talent of today’s artists with cash prizes and online promotion through monthly online gallery exhibitions. We showcase the diversity and innovation of contemporary art, inspiring a new generation of artists and art enthusiasts around the world.

Theme

Artists worldwide are invited to submit artwork to our online exhibition, “Faces and Figures”.

Faces and Figures is an exhibition showcasing a diverse range of portrait and figurative works from artists around the world. The human (and animal!) form has been a staple in art since the beginning of time, and this exhibition celebrates its significance and beauty. From portrait paintings to abstract expressions, artists are encouraged to capture the intricacies of life and the fluidity of movement.

Schedule

All entries are due by September 29th, 2023 at 11:59pm AST.

Notification of acceptance and online gallery opening will be announced via ArtCall no later than October 14th, 2023

Awards

A panel of jurors will select the accepted artworks from all of the artworks entered. A judge, or panel of judges, will then select the winners of each award as outlined below:

The Art Epic Award:

• $100 USD
• Award certificate
• Winning artwork featured first at the top of the online gallery
• Social media promotion

Director’s Choice Award:

• Award certificate
• Winning artwork featured at the top of the online gallery
• Social media promotion

People’s Choice Award:

• Award certificate
• Winning artwork featured at the top of the online gallery
• Social media promotion

Jury Favorites:

• Winning artwork featured in the online gallery
• Social media promotion

ALL ACCEPTED ARTISTS will be featured on our “Participating Artists” page, including promotion of social media links, biographies, and artists statements. All accepted artworks will be displayed in our online gallery.

All cash awards will be paid via PayPal. (Note: Winners must accept their cash award via PayPal within 90 days of award announcement. If the payment is not accepted via PayPal within 90 days, the prize is forfeited. Winners are notified of their awards via email and through ArtCall.org. Art Epic is not responsible for unreceived emails. It is the Winner’s responsibility to check their ArtCall account to see if they have won an award)

Entry Fee

$12 USD per entry (Note: Payment for entry is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance)

Artist Eligibility

This call is open to artists over the age of 18, worldwide, both amateur and professional.

If an artist has previously won The Art Epic Award, that artist may not be awarded another cash prize for 3 months, and may not be awarded another Art Epic Award for 6 months. However, they are still eligible to enter and can win non-cash awards.

Artwork Eligibility

This exhibition is ONLINE ONLY - you will not have to provide the artwork physically. Artworks that have been sold or have won awards through other organizations are eligible to enter.

Open to paintings, drawings, digital artwork (excluding AI generated art), fine art photography, mixed media and sculpture.

There is no size restriction and no restriction to subject matter.

Artwork must be original to the submitting artist. Images that infringe upon another’s copyright will be disqualified. Art Epic reserves the right to investigate and determine originality.

All submissions must be made through ArtCall.org. Email, social media, and/or physical submissions will not be accepted.

Selection Process

Each monthly show is curated and juried by the Art Epic creative director, along with a committee of jurors.

The criteria used to judge will vary per medium. Overall considerations include demonstration of technical skill, thoughtful composition, and adherence to the exhibition theme.

The decision of the jury and the judge is final. No personal feedback will be provided.
