About the event
Arts & Humanities Bainbridge (AHB) and the Bainbridge Creative District invite regional visual artists to submit artworks to be considered for the 2023 Bridge Festival poster.
The Bridge Festival illustrates the relationship between artists and the cultural and business sectors, showcasing how they come together and form our unique local creative economy. We seek works that speak to themes such as relationship, community, connection, bridge-building and/or creation. Both abstract and representational designs will be considered.
The context: The Festival will run from September 30 through October 6th on Bainbridge Island, and will include a variety of cultural organizations and their individual milestones. Organizations are being encouraged to plan an event during that week which showcases their work and includes a demonstration, an interactive event or an artistic display or exhibit.
The deadline: The deadline for submitting artwork is 5 pm on August 15th 2023. In addition to being used for a poster, the artwork may be utilized on social media, in flyers and local signage, and potentially on tv advertising, providing the chosen artist with extensive exposure. There is no cost for submission. AHB warmly welcomes members of the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities.
