Blue Lotus Artists' Collective - Database

Blue Lotus Artists’ Collective (B.L.A.C.) is issuing a call for Black artists working in any media, in order to build a database for future exhibitions. Please submit a resume and/or artist statement, contact information, and up to ten images of artwork with identification to: info@bluelotusartistscollective.com

B.L.A.C. is a non-profit exhibition space dedicated to supporting and uplifting Black Artists. In 2022, a group of artists and arts advocates assembled to discuss ways to address the obvious underrepresentation of Black artists in museums and galleries in the US. Ultimately, we determined to address the issue first hand by creating B.L.A.C. as an artists’ collective. Like the Blue Lotus, Black artists have arisen from sometimes harsh and inhospitable environments to thrive, create and bring beauty and wonder to the world.
