BRIDGEPORT ART CENTER proudly announces a call for artists for The Landscape is Changing, curated by Marci Rubin, that is exhibited in our distinguished 4th Floor Gallery, July 18- Sept 5 2025.
ELIGIBILITY: Landscapes are geographical areas characterized by diverse ecosystems and range from natural environments including forests, prairies, deserts, oceans and lakes to human-inhabited networks such as agricultural and urban terrains. Human interactions shape the global landscape over time by adapting and evolving within the changing environment.
A cultural landscape evokes a sense of history for a specific site and connects the land to this identity. Expressing significance for the valued location, a community commemorates these events by erecting identity markers like parks, pathways, monuments, bridges, etc…
