Call for Art: Flow, National Juried Exhibition

Flow is a themed juried show presented online and in-person at the Museum of Encaustic Art in New Mexico – exclusively open to all current EAI members to apply to. There is a $20 fee to apply and entered work must be for sale.  -We encourage you to submit work done in the last year or to be motivated to return to your workspace and create -Artists may submit ONE PIECE for consideration by the juror  THEME: Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, a Hungarian-American psychologist, showed how everyone from artists to assembly-line workers could be transported to a state of focused contentment by getting caught in the “flow,” a term he coined and later popularized.  Flow has been on people’s minds, since the tide of disruptions in our personal norms. An older saying has been resurrected, “Go With The Flow,” and seems to be the mantra. In addition, the natural form of encaustic medium is “to flow,” so is the act of creativity in any form of wax – hot or cold. It is a state of well-being when creating that we hope you will attain with your entries.
