Contemporary Art Room Gallery - 6th “Colors” Online Art Competition

Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 6th “Colors” Online Art Competition for the month of January 2024. This is an international competition and artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. In this open subject competition the Colors theme is with a concentration of color. Artworks with one color or a multitude of colors will be accepted. A variety of interpretations of Colors theme can be submitted (representative, abstract, conceptional). All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. The deadline to apply to this art competition is January 04, 2024.

COMPETITION RULES

There are general rules for our monthly competitions. Agreement contains the following terms and conditions. Please carefully read our rules and procedures before applying. Competitions will have different theme each month, and it is extremely important to follow specific theme.

- All artists from around the world are welcome to enter

- Artists must be 18 years or older to apply

- Entries must follow competition theme

- Artworks containing pornographic or satanic content will not be taken into consideration

- Entry fees are non-refundable

- 2 images may be submitted per entry fee. There is no limit to the number of entries per artist

- Artwork images should be labeled as: First Name-Last Name-Title of Art.jpg

- Image size should be up to 2.0 MB in JPG format

- Only the artwork should be visible, clear and in focus. Please crop out any background in the images.

- Images should be orginal work created by the artist

- Art Room gallery does not sell artwork, but provides the opportunity for you to connect with potential buyers

HOW TO APPLY

- Select an image (up to 2.0 MB) of your artworks

- Include a short biography and artist statement to be included with your art

- Fill out all required information

- Submit your artwork

- Your will be redirected to Pay Pal for payment

- After your payment is complete, you will receive a confirmation email

ELIGIBILITY

This is an international competition and it is open to all artists of 18 years of age or older. All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installarion art) except video and sound art.

SUMBITTING IMAGES

- Artwork images should be labeled as: First Name-Last Name-Title of Art.jpg

- Image size should be up to 2.0 MB in JPG format.

- Only the artwork should be visible, clear and in focus. Please crop out any background in the images.

- Images must be original work created by the artist.

ENTRY FEE

18 $ for the 2 images of artwork, $28 for 4 images and $40 for up to 6 images. You may enter more than once, there is no limit to the number of images that an artist can submit. Entry fees are non - refundable. Payment must be made via Pay Pal.

JUDGING CRITERIA

The following evaluation criteria will be used for judging the artwork: creativity, interpretation of the theme, originality and quality of art, overall design, demonstration of artistic ability, and usage of medium.

AWARDS

All selected artists will receive a digital award certificate. First, second and third place will be largely displayed with an article  about the artist and  their work. Winning artwork (First place) will be on the poster of the show. Depending on the number and quality of all submissions received, Merit awards and Honorable Mention awards may also be presented. All accepted works will be displayed with the artist name, title of work, and a link back to their website, or email address if they do not have a website. All Accepted artists will receive extensive online publicity and promotion on our website.

USAGE RIGHTS

This Agreement represents terms and conditions beetween artist and Art Room Gallery.  Before submitting their artwork all artists who want to participate in any competition on our website (artroomgalleryonline.com) must agree to the following:

- Art Room Gallery will use your images only for marketing, promotional, and display purposes for any competition on our website.

- You the artist agrees to allow Art Room Gallery to archive choosen artwork as part of exhibition. This will be available for public viewing on our website (artroomgalleryonline.com)

- Selected works will include artist name, title of work and a link back to their website or email adress if they do not have a website.

- Artist shall retain all copyrights of any image they submit to Art Room Gallery.

- Images will not be resold, exchanged or copied from this site.

- Entry fees are non-refundable
