Douglas Land Conservancy - Capturing The Beauty of Open Land

Protecting the natural character of Douglas County and neighboring lands. You are invited to apply for a truly unique Plein air painting event, “Capturing the Beauty of Open Land,” sponsored by the Douglas Land Conservancy. A fundraiser for DLC, the event provides the opportunity for artists to paint on beautiful, private properties in southern Douglas County. These stunning conserved private properties are rarely open for access to the public. Artists will have the opportunity to paint on location for a week, followed by a very special VIP art sale and reception in downtown Castle Rock, Colorado just south of Denver. Volunteers will be available on-site throughout the event to provide information and directions to the painting locations.  In addition to providing a unique cultural experience for Douglas County and the surrounding community, these events will allow attendees and loyal supporters to bring the beauty of Douglas County conserved lands into their homes and offices as a reminder of why we live in Colorado.
