About the event
In 2013, Apila Ediciones created the Apila First Impression Award to give illustrators without any published work with an ISBN (except self-publishing) the opportunity to publish their first professional album.
Since then, the Apila Awards have allowed almost all of their winners to make the leap into the professional world of illustration.
We are very proud of this and it encourages us to continue along this path in future editions.
