FREE ENTRY / Art Commission of the City of Düsseldorf - Public Art

This year, the Art Commission of the City of Düsseldorf is launching a new format that focuses on promoting contemporary art in public spaces. With stadt.raum.experimente, local as well as internationally active artists are called upon to develop experimental and temporary concepts for the urban space of Düsseldorf. Whether installation, performance or participation: stadt.raum.experimente is open to unusual forms and experimental ideas.

The jury’s decision on project funding considers artistic design, content-related aspects, topicality, creativity, and sustainability of the project's impact on the public space and target group(s). Additionally, the jury evaluates the cost-impact relationship and the proposed time schedule for project implementation to make informed funding decisions.

Up to €120,000 is available annually. Each project is funded with a maximum of €60,000. Additional funds from third parties are possible.
