About the event

The Port of Seattle’s Public Art program is seeking ONE visual/multi-disciplinary/light artist or artist team to submit their qualifications to be considered for this permanent art commission within Seattle Tacoma International Airport’s C Concourse. 

The artwork submitted should represent the “environmental themes connected to the project” and should aim to use sustainable materials. C Concourse Cascade Mountain Range theme. Inspiration:  Grand, awe-inspiring, evolving vistas, vibrant. Color & Materials: green, plum, brown, with wildflower accents. The project includes four (4) locations in the C Concourse restroom area. The estimated opening date for this restroom is Q3 2024. The public art completion date is flexible to the capital project completion date.

SCHEDULE

September 29, 2023 - RFQ is published online.

September 29, 2023, to October 20, 2023, 4:00 p.m. PST - Artists submit qualifications.

End of October 2023 - Selection panel reviews submissions.

Early November 2023 - Artists contacted with selection results.

Q3 of 2024 - Project Completion (Anticipated)
