About the event

The Glendale Arts and Culture Commission calls for creatives to submit proposals for a unique installation to be displayed at the historic Adams Square Mini Park Gas Station (ASMPGS) in Glendale, CA. The ASMPGS is a 1936 Streamline Modern Gas Station building listed on the Glendale Register of Historic Resources and features rotating art installations. The 12'x12'x12' cube-shaped gas station has acrylic windows, two doors, two electrical outlets, and a timer, offering ample space for hanging art installations. Sponsored by the Glendale Arts and Culture Commission and the Community Services & Parks Department, this call for submissions offers a unique opportunity for artists to showcase their work.

Eligibility: Open to everyone but preference will be given to local artists

What you get: Artists whose work is chosen for installation at the ASMPGS will receive a stipend of $1,000 in addition to a production budget of up to $1,500 for a total maximum stipend of $2,500.
