About the event
MIRA Métiers d'Art is a program supporting the mobility of artisans and craftswomen for their artistic research work abroad. It is a continuation of the Custom-Made Residencies implemented at the French Institute by the Directorate of Artistic Creation and Cultural Industries (DCAIC).
It is open to craftsmen and women in the following sectors: jewelry, ceramics, carving, copperware, gilding, printing, leatherwork, mosaics, goldsmithing, ornamental painting, featherwork, saddlery, upholstery, decorative tapestry, weaving, glasswork, etc.
The French Institute will select up to ten winners for mobility programs taking place between January and August 2026. The beneficiaries will receive funding in the form of a fixed-rate living allowance grant to enable them to carry out creative and artistic research abroad, in the location of their choice, for a period of 1 month.
