Together, Kirsten and Gunnar lived a life that combined a strong love for nature, culture and art. Kirsten and Gunnar loved their hometown of Aarhus. The culture, the art – and the landscape that surrounds the city. They founded the foundation – and you, as an artist, can contribute to their vision of making Aarhus more beautiful.

The deadline for the next application round is March 2, 2026 at 12:00 noon .

In 2026 with a pool for the four annual grants of DKK 300,000 each.

The foundation supports  art and cultural life in Aarhus Municipality – primarily music, sculpture, visual arts and landscape art.
