Description

MyMA Artist Grant is a monthly juried grant that provides an unrestricted $500 award to one artist each month. In addition to the winner, our independent jurors recognize 5 artists as honorable mentions for each edition. We publish a written or video profile of the selected artists on MyMA's website and social channels.

Submissions for the October edition of the MyMA Artist Grant are open now through November 2nd. To ensure accessibility and inclusivity, applications are free.

About this month's juror

Deanna Evans is an art curator and dealer who runs Deanna Evans Projects in New York City. The gallery recently featured solo exhibitions with Nickola Pottinger, Caitlin MacBride, Jim Gaylord and many more emerging artists. In 2017, Deanna began curating exhibitions in her apartment with artists including Holly Coulis, Emily Mae Smith, Dana Powell and others, culminating in the opening of her first commercial space in Bushwick, Brooklyn in 2021 followed by Tribeca in 2022. Deanna holds a MA in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York.

Eligibility

Artists must be 18 or older.Visual artists working in painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, mixed media, installation, digital art, and other media may apply. We regret that we do not accept submissions for Video art, film, music, theatre, or dance at this time.(Optional) In order for our jurors to get a better understanding of your art practice, we recommend that you add your Instagram account, website information, and a profile picture to your artist profile.If you have a complete MyMA artist profile, you can apply by clicking on the "apply" button on this page.
