FREE ENTRY / Risograph Print Residency of Spokane - Residencies 2025-2026

The Risograph Print Residency of Spokane supports community-minded artists, designers, and students in producing original, edition-based print projects utilizing the unique Risograph facilities of EWU’s 4D Lab. This juried residency offers access to specialized equipment, mentorship from faculty, and a dedicated studio in the Catalyst Building in downtown Spokane. The 2025–2026 cycle introduces two new student micro-residencies alongside our traditional artist/designer residencies, expanding opportunities for creative exploration, mentorship, and community engagement.

Artist/Designer Print Residency – We invite proposals that explore the expressive potential of Risograph printing through editions, posters, zines, books, visual narratives, and experimental print ephemera. Strong proposals will demonstrate a commitment to community engagement—whether through workshops, artist talks, collaborations, or public-facing creative outcomes.

Residents are encouraged to push the boundaries of the medium, incorporating interdisciplinary approaches and contributing to an active culture of print-based storytelling and visual research.
