About the event
“Art NeuroVerse Biennale” the project to support artists with autism and other neurodifferences invites to take part in the exhibition “ I SEE YOU”, which will be held at TaLis Gallery Jerusalem 16-30.11.2023.
“I SEE YOU” is an exhibition about how differently we see and feel the world and ourselves in it, and relationships with others as well, it's also about the fragile bridges between “I and the Other,” about the feeling of visibility/invisibility of oneself in society.
In this project we want to give to artists with autism and other neurodifferences an opportunity to show their vision of the world and relationships in it through art.
The theme of the exhibition is quite free for interpretations by the artists. Authors with autism and other neurodifferences are invited to participate, as well as artists working with the theme of the special perception of the world by people with neurodifferences.
Works are accepted in variety of mediums: painting, performance, media art, sculpture, etc.
The exhibition will have children's and adult sections; artists of different ages can apply.
In order to submit an application, write to us at talisgalleryj@gmail.com before October 10, 2023. The subject of the letter is “I see you.” In the letter, please indicate: 1) first and last name, 2) age of the artist, 3) attach photographs of works or sketches, 4) briefly provide information about the artist, 5) briefly describe why it is interesting to take part in the project. In response, we will send you a suitable form to fill out and organizational information.
Cost of participation: the project is non-profit; together with the open call, we are also launching a fundraising for the opening of the exhibition and support for its participants. Depending on the success of fundraising, participation may be free or require a small organizational fee for technical expenses.
The organizers understand that there are authors who will apply for participation in the exhibition for the first time - we are very happy about this, we will advise you and help you complete everything, if you have any questions, write to us.
We are also interested in partners, volunteers and friends of the “Art NeuroVerse Biennale” project - organizations and people who are not indifferent to the problems of creative individuals with autism and other neurodifferences. Please be free to write to us at anvbiennale@gmail.com, we will be glad to meet you and discuss cooperation.
