About the event

The Ingram Prize is an annual purchase prize open to visual artists who are within five years of graduation from a UK-based art school. Now in its eighth year, this leading prize for contemporary artists was established by The Ingram Collection to celebrate and support artists at the beginning of their professional careers.

To be eligible for the competition, artists must be over 18 years of age and hold a formal practice-based qualification in the visual arts from a higher or further education institution in the UK, either at the undergraduate or postgraduate level. Additionally, the completion of the course must have taken place between April 1, 2018, and the closing date for submissions in 2023, which is September 18, 2023.

We have several prizes and opportunities that include acquisitions for The Ingram Collection and solo exhibitions in Autumn 2024 at TM Lighting's London gallery and the Lightbox, an Art Fund Prize-winning gallery and museum in Woking, Surrey. Additionally, all finalists will have the chance to apply for an artist residency in 2024 in partnership with Hestercombe Gallery in Somerset, and they will also be invited to attend a series of talks and seminars by industry professionals.
