FREE ENTRY / The Netherland-America Foundation Cultural Grant Program

What types of projects do you fund? We fund innovative cultural and artistic programs in the Netherlands and the United States that fit within the mission of the NAF, with a particular focus on cultural exchange between these two countries. The NAF's mission is to strengthen the bonds between the United States and the Netherlands through exchange in the arts, sciences, education, business and/or public affairs. The NAF has funded music and dance performances, theater, exhibitions, lectures, book tours, published works, and more. Open-ended research and financial support directly to the artist (ex. salary) are not funded.

Is it a requirement to be Dutch or are grants open to other nationalities? Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States or the Netherlands and must exemplify cultural exchanges between our two countries.

What types of organizations do you fund? Grants are awarded to both established organizations that can leverage their contributions, and to individual artists and small organizations to which such grants make a difference in a project’s realization.
