About the event

The Terre Commune international prize is organized by Lieux-Communs in partnership with the Earthenware and Ceramics Museum of Malicorne-sur-Sarthe. It aims to promote and highlight, in the field of contemporary art, current expressions in ceramics.

Located between Le Mans and Angers, in the heart of the Sarthe Valley (France), the Earthenware and Ceramics Museum of Malicorne-sur-Sarthe holds the designation Musée de France. By organizing residencies, the museum is a place for experimenting with current ceramic creation. It supports the dissemination of contemporary creation by offering temporary exhibition spaces to ceramic artists.

Lieux-Communs is an association based in Namur (Belgium) which invests in contemporary art exhibitions in heritage places and develops permanent artistic integrations in public spaces.

Lieux-Communs is responsible for the artistic direction of the 5 Seasons Festival in Chaudfontaine. Taking place in the heart of a landscaped park, it is a permanent event dedicated to contemporary artistic creation linked to nature and environmental issues.

The artists selected by a professional jury will participate in a collective exhibition at the Pavillon Fourmarier (Chaudfontaine- Belgium) as part of the Festival des 5 Saisons from March 30 to June 28, 2024.
