About the event
Working with acclaimed architects Haworth Tompkins, this vital work will ensure a home for our communities that’s green and sustainable, safeguarding high-quality cultural, wellbeing and community experiences in North Wales for current and future generations.
As a major cultural building and arts centre, public art will be at the heart of the project, with multiple pieces permanently shared with communities.
We’re seeking expressions of interest from artists, theatre-makers and collaborative design teams to create this public art. We want to commission public art which is inspirational and inclusive, that enhances our reputation as a beacon of artistic excellence and a home for our communities.
These opportunities are funded by the Welsh Arts Council ‘Percentage of Art’ legislation.
We’re open to photography, 2D digital art, video art, interactive art, painting, sculpture and installations. We’re also open to theatre disciplines including (but not limited to) designers, lighting designers, sound designers, projection designers, prop makers, writers, and costume/textile makers to respond to this call. As artists, creatives and theatre-makers we, of course, warmly welcome collaborations between disciplines and artists.
