FREE ENTRY / Vashon Lodges - Vashon Nightlights Installations

The Lodges on Vashon invites regional artists to submit outdoor sculptures and/or illuminated art installations for their December event series, Vashon Nightlights. We are seeking creatively lit, free-standing, outdoor sculptures or light installation artists to install art that brings enchantment, introspection, levity, and a mysterious spirit to the darkest time of year. Themes could include multi-cultural relationships to Solstice/dark/seasonal myth, interactive and kinetic art safe for families, audio/visual art that can be left in weather but can be turned on by staff with minimal technical requirements without an artist present.

Selected works will transform the grounds into an inviting, light-filled environment that encourages visitors to explore, linger, and celebrate the season. The installation location should be considered a public venue similar to a public park or square. Regular presence by property operators and some security presence/video surveillance will be provided.
