It's clear that dreaming, whether it be while asleep or awake, is an important part of the creative process. As artists, we often find ourselves in a state of daydreaming as our minds wander and explore new ideas and possibilities. So how much time do we spend actually dreaming? Miró claimed he did not recall his dreams while sleeping. Instead he found inspiration from his daydreams, “I never dream… Oh, yes! I do dream, I dream when I’m walking down the street, I dream all the time, but these dreams aren’t Freudian dreams. They are waking dreams. I’m always in a state of dreaming while awake. Of course!
