Mooresville Arts - Pop Culture, A Small Works Show

Pop Culture, A Small Works Show is a themed exhibit, inspired by pop culture in today’s society. The theme is up to the artist’s interpretation, and he/she may submit any work as long as it fits somehow with the media, subject matter or presentation of pop culture. All fine art media is eligible, including but not limited to: painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, collage, digital art, pottery, glass, metal, wood, and sculpture. According to Oxford Bibliographies, Popular culture is defined as the set of practices, beliefs, and objects that embody the most broadly shared meanings of a social system. It includes media objects, entertainment and leisure, fashion and trends, and linguistic conventions, among other things. This exhibit will be on display in the Depot’s Skylight Gallery.
