National Purebred Dog Day invites artists to celebrate the heritage, diversity and predictability of the purebred dog in its sixth annual Fine Art/Poster competition, the winning piece to be its official 2024 poster. $2,000 cash prize • Opportunity to sell work to concentrated audience of dog lovers • Open to international artists. You are strongly encouraged to include a breed from each of the AKC groups which are Sporting, Hound, Working, Terrier, Herding, Toy, Non-Sporting, Miscellaneous and FSS (to see the breeds from each group, visit AKC.org). Over 400 dog breeds exist in the world today, some at risk of vanishing in our lifetime. This competition honors these purposefully bred dogs.
