No Title Gallery and Crea Cantieri del Contemporaneo Venezia announce a competition for artists with the aim of promoting and enhancing high-quality contemporary art. All artists aged 18 to 80 (completed by January 1, 2023), individually or in collectives, all around the world.

The sections are: Painting and Graphics, Sculpture and Installation Photography Video, Performance, and New Technologies Hdemia (section for visual arts students, high schools, academies, and universities) Land Art and Site-Specific Projects

The works will be selected based on criteria of quality, research, originality, and contemporaneity. Proficiency in the medium, curriculum, and feasibility of the work will be other influential factors. There are no limits on subject, technique, or style, as long as they fall within one of the specified categories. The competition includes: The selection of 30 finalist works will be divided as follows: painting and graphics (6 finalists), sculpture and installation (6 finalists), photography (5 finalists), video and performance, new technologies (5 finalists), Hdemia (5 finalists), and land art (3 finalists).

The realization of an exhibition event at the spaces of Crea Cantieri del Contemporaneo Venezia from February 17 to February 29, 2024, curated by the CREA staff, accompanied by a catalog, involving the 30 finalist works.

The awarding of a cash prize of €2500 (two thousand and fifteen euros), provided by No Title Gallery. The awarding of an exhibition prize by Marina Bastianello Gallery. The awarding of an exhibition prize by spazio SV - San Vidal exhibition center. The awarding of an exhibition prize by CREA Cantiere del contemporaneo. The awarding of an exhibition prize by 10 & zero uno.

ARTICLE 2 - TERMS AND PROCEDURES Applications must be submitted by Thursday, December 31, 2023, at 23:00 (GMT+1), exclusively through the following online form: https://form.jotform.com/notitlegallery/we-art-open-2024-english Applications sent via email or postal mail or submitted after the indicated deadline will not be accepted. Each candidate can submit a maximum of 3 works. The following will be required: Personal information of the participating artist or, in the case of a collective, of its representative. Brief artistic portfolio, with particular attention to educational background and previous exhibition or artistically relevant experiences, in .pdf format, maximum 20 MB.

Work to be submitted to the competition: For Painting and Graphics, Sculpture and Installation, Photography, Hdemia, and Land Art and Site-Specific Projects sections: a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 images of the submitted work in .jpg, .pdf, .png formats, 300 dpi resolution, RGB. Rename the file as follows: LastnameFirstname_Title_year. For Video, Performance, and New Technologies section: Provide a link to YouTube, Vimeo, SoundCloud, Behance, or similar platforms featuring the work in question. The link can be private; in this case, provide access through personalized sharing or a dedicated password. A brief presentation text of the submitted work (maximum 500 words).

ARTICLE 3 - EXCLUSION CRITERIA Participation is not allowed for members of the selection committee (see article 5), their relatives up to the third degree, including those employed by or collaborators with committee members.

ARTICLE 4 - REGISTRATION FEE The registration fee, partially covering organization expenses, is set at €30 for the Hdemia section and €50 per participating artist or collective. Up to 5 works can be submitted in the same section or across the six different sections, with the registration fee paid only once. Payment must be made in Euros within one week of submitting the materials. The registration fee is non-refundable. ARTICLE 5 - JURY AND FINALIST SELECTION The jury is composed of professionals from the contemporary art world. Each juror will personally oversee the selection of works in their respective section and provide written explanations for their decisions. The jury's judgment is final and irrevocable.

The jury consists of: Painting and Graphics: Marina Bastianello, gallery owner Sculpture and Installation: Simone Miccichè, final winner of WAO 23 Photography: Elena Dal Molin, gallery owner Video, Performance, and New Technologies: Arthur Duff, artist Hdemia: Herwig Egon Casadoro-Kopp, art director of art-frame.org Land Art and Site-Specific Projects: Miguel Mallol, art curator

The decisions of the jury are binding and final.

ARTICLE 6 - PRIZES The 30 finalist artists will participate in a collective exhibition produced by No Title Gallery and Crea Cantieri del Contemporaneo Venezia, to be held in Venice at Crea Cantieri del Contemporaneo from February 17 to February 29, 2024.

The collective exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog.

Additionally, the following prizes are provided: A cash prize of € 2000 awarded by No Title Gallery to one of the 30 finalist artists. An exhibition prize by Marina Bastianello Gallery. An exhibition prize by spazio SV - San Vidal exhibition center. An exhibition prize by CREA Cantiere del contemporaneo. An exhibition prize by 10 & zero uno. ARTICLE 7 - PHASES AND DEADLINES By December 31, 2023: registration for the competition. By January 16, 2024: announcement of the finalists. On February 17, 2024: opening of the collective exhibition of finalists and proclamation of the prize winner as mentioned above.

ARTICLE 8 - CONSENT Every participant in the competition grants No Title Gallery, as well as its legal representative, the rights to reproduce the submitted works and texts for the prize, exclusively for the purpose of creating the catalog, publishing on the prize website, and other forms of communication, promotion, and organizational activities. Participation in the Prize implies unconditional acceptance of all the articles in this announcement.
