Nota Gallery - "Art Embassy" Exhibition Call

NOTAGALLERY Art Embassy is a curatorial project and temporary exhibition space located at Checkpoint Charlie—one of Berlin’s most historically symbolic sites. Once a place of separation and political tension, it now becomes a zone for cultural gathering and free expression.

The exhibition aims to transform this location into a fictional embassy—one that doesn’t represent nations, but ideas. It invites artists to imagine what it means to speak on behalf of something larger than themselves: a perspective, a feeling, a question, or a community.

Rather than restricting submissions to one singular theme, NOTAGALLERY Art Embassy opens its doors to a diverse spectrum of artistic voices and experiences. From personal stories to political reflections, joyful declarations to critical provocations—we want to create a space where contrast, nuance, and multiplicity coexist.
