About the event

The College of Art and Design at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) seeks proposals from artists for a temporary, outdoor exhibition of artwork/sculpture as part of the Anna Ballardian Visiting Artist Series (ABVA), which brings exhibitions, outdoor sculpture, and artist engagement to the RIT campus, encouraging interdisciplinary practices and discourse.  BVA committee is currently seeking proposals for outdoor sculpture for two existing sites on the north lawn of Booth and Gannett Halls. See photos below. The location is a prominent and high-traffic entryway with close proximity to the College of Art and Design, the MAGIC Center, and the Carlson Center for Imaging Science. Two existing sculptures are currently on display by the artists Joshua Enck and Letha Wilson. As part of the ABVA program, the selected artist(s) will give an in-person public talk, and conduct studio/class visits with students. An indoor exhibition of work may also be considered depending on the exhibition calendar and space availability.
