Tiger Strikes Asteroid - PHL Open Call 2024: Three-Person Exhibition re(FOCUS)

Tiger Strikes Asteroid Philadelphia (TSA Philadelphia) is pleased to announce an open call to our annual three-person exhibition, (re)FOCUS at Tiger Strikes Asteroid. This group exhibition will run from January 20, 2024, to February 24, 2024, and will be one of many exhibitions taking part in (re)FOCUS: Then and Now, a city-wide 50th-anniversary celebration of Philadelphia Focuses on Women in the Visual Arts/1974.

TSA Philadelphia invites visual artists to submit work for an opportunity to be featured in a curated exhibition that reimagines, questions, and/or explores themes centered around gender identity, representation and visibility, marginalization, social equality, self-determination, and/or empowerment.

Eligibility

• Submissions are open to artists over 18, working in all mediums, WHO ARE NOT CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN A DEGREE-GRANTING PROGRAM.

• Artists from historically under-recognized communities in the arts are encouraged to apply. Under-recognized communities may include those who identify as persons with disabilities, LGBTQ+, Indigenous/Native American/Native Alaskan,  African American/Black, Chicano,…
