The International Triennial of Stage Poster-Sofia is an esteemed cultural event dedicated to showcasing the creative achievements of artists from around the globe. This distinguished exhibition aims to present a wide variety of artistic expressions in the form of posters designed to promote and represent the cultural landscape. These posters may reflect diverse styles such as classical, modern, or experimental approaches and may promote various stage performances including theatre, opera, ballet, dance, operetta, musicals, circus performances, puppet theatre, pantomime, concerts, popular music events, festivals, video installations, and visual art displays.
The Eleventh International Triennial of Stage Poster-Sofia is scheduled to take place in November and December 2025 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Terms of Participation
Artists are invited to submit their poster creations provided they were produced between April 30, 2022, and May 30, 2025. The Triennial features two distinct participation categories:
Printed Posters for Cultural Events: This category invites entries that have been designed for cultural activities such as theatrical performances, stage productions, film screenings, musical performances, visual arts displays, or other artistic expressions. Posters may feature either traditional or contemporary styles and can represent multi-genre events as well.
Posters on a Specific Theme: The designated theme for this special category is "Literature is a Stage." Artists are encouraged to submit posters that connect literature with performance art. These posters may represent past events or be created specifically for the Eleventh International Triennial of Stage Poster-Sofia.
Submission Guidelines
Posters should have a minimum format size of A2 (420 x 594 mm).
Each artist may submit up to four posters.
All submissions must be accompanied by corresponding digital images of the posters in A5 size in one of the following formats: .jpg, .eps, .tif, or .pdf. Digital files should be at 300 dpi resolution and in CMYK color mode.
Additionally, artists are required to submit a completed application form and a brief CV highlighting their artistic background and achievements.
We look forward to receiving exceptional poster designs that celebrate the creative connection between visual arts and stage performance.
