The 12th annual PleinAir Salon $33,000 Art Competition, presented by PleinAir Magazine, is now open for submissions. This online competition, designed to promote artistic growth through competition, is inspired by the French Salon created by the Academie des Beaux-Arts in Paris. The competition consists of 11 monthly cycles, leading to the annual Salon Grand Prize winners, who will be awarded over $33,000 in cash prizes and exposure for their work. The winning painting will be featured on the cover of PleinAir magazine.
Winners of each monthly competition will receive recognition and exposure through PleinAir magazine’s print magazine, e-newsletters, websites, and social media. These winners will also be entered into the annual competition. The 12th Annual Awards ceremony will take place live at the Plein Air Convention & Expo in May 2023.
The Annual Winners will receive a total of $21,500 in cash prizes, including the Grand Prize of $15,000, 2nd place of $3,000, 3rd place of $1,500, People’s Choice of $500, and three Honorable Mentions of $500 each. In addition, all Annual Winners will receive a plaque and graphic to share on social media, a showcase in PleinAir Magazine and OutdoorPainter.com, inclusion in the winner archives on PleinAirSalon.com, five issues of PleinAir Magazine featuring the Salon showcase, and promotion on PleinAir Magazine and PleinAir Salon’s websites and social media platforms.
