Ah Haa HAHA is dedicated to bringing a vibrant, contemporary art experience that is both accessible and engaging for all participants. Now celebrating its fourth year, HAHA was originally envisioned by Kris Kwasniewski, Exhibitions Manager at Ah Haa School for the Arts, and Christin Marcos, Director of Development. This inclusive event pushes the boundaries of artistic possibilities and invites everyone to participate in its creativity.
Artists selected for HAHA are provided with logistical guidelines and a stipend for materials, while being given the freedom to create an immersive experience that truly reflects their creative practice. Previous participants have been recognized by high-profile organizations like National Public Radio, The Los Angeles Times, TEDx, and the New York Times, with their work featured in venues such as the White House, the Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver.
Ah Haa’s mission is centered on building community and spreading joy through art. The organization is committed to offering opportunities for diverse artists to get involved, and HAHA is an important part of this initiative. The event promotes creativity without boundaries and encourages marginalized artists to apply. Additionally, HAHA artists are invited to engage with the Telluride community through free events and activities that help foster a sense of place and collective expression.
