Ah Haa HAHA strives to create an exciting, contemporary art event that is both inclusive and engaging for all involved. Entering its fourth year, HAHA was founded by Kris Kwasniewski, the Exhibitions Manager at Ah Haa School for the Arts, and Christin Marcos, Director of Development. The event challenges the conventional limits of art, offering an immersive, boundary-pushing experience for everyone.
HAHA artists are given logistical guidelines, a stipend for materials, and creative freedom to develop an experience that embodies their artistic vision. The works of selected artists have gained attention from major outlets like National Public Radio, The Los Angeles Times, and TEDx, and have been displayed at renowned institutions such as The White House, Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver.
At Ah Haa, the mission is to create a strong sense of community and joy through artistic expression. HAHA provides a platform for both local and international artists, including those from underrepresented groups, to showcase their work. Outreach programs led by HAHA artists offer the Telluride community opportunities for free creative activities, encouraging participation and a shared sense of connection.
