Technical Requirements for Online Registration
Our online registration system is designed to be accessible from a wide range of devices and operating systems, including Windows PCs, Mac computers, and mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. While most modern systems will support the registration process, we advise participants to use an up-to-date web browser to prevent any potential technical issues. Supported browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge. Using outdated software may lead to errors or incomplete submissions. Additionally, a stable internet connection is recommended to ensure that all necessary files are uploaded correctly and that your registration is successfully completed. If you encounter any difficulties, clearing your browser cache or switching to another supported browser may help resolve the issue.
Publication Rights: What You Need to Know
When registering and submitting your artwork, you will be required to grant publication rights that allow us to use your submitted images for promotional purposes and the official event catalogue. It is important to emphasize that these rights are only applicable to finalists. If your work is not selected as a finalist, it will not be used in any promotional materials, digital media, or printed publications. However, for finalists, these rights enable us to showcase their work through various channels, including social media, exhibition advertisements, and printed catalogues. The purpose of these rights is to ensure that the exhibition and its featured artists receive the recognition they deserve. We understand the importance of protecting artists’ intellectual property, and these rights are granted solely for the duration and promotion of the event.
Ensuring Anonymity: Guidelines for Covering Signatures and Identifying Marks
To uphold the integrity of our selection process, all submissions must remain anonymous. This means that signatures, initials, or any other identifying marks must be completely concealed throughout both the online registration process and the finalist exhibition. For digital submissions, artists are required to edit their images by cropping out the signature or covering it with a black bar before uploading the file. For physical submissions, artists can use removable masking tape to hide any identifying marks on the front of the artwork. It is important to note that signatures or markings on the back of the work are not a concern and do not need to be covered. Once the selection process is complete and the awards have been announced, artists are permitted to remove any temporary masking materials from their works for the remainder of the exhibition. These anonymity rules also apply to any other references to authorship that may be embedded within the artwork itself, including personal symbols or distinctive inscriptions.
