Bosch Parade is embarking on an ambitious new direction, guided by the bold and innovative vision of artist and curator David Bade. This edition centers around the concept “Community meets artist meets Defects,” a theme that serves as the foundation for a collaborative creative journey. Bade invites artists to step outside the confines of their studios and immerse themselves directly within a community, group, club, or collective. The aim is for artists and community members to work side-by-side, transforming perceived imperfections, failures, or “defects” into meaningful artistic expressions.
Communities throughout ’s-Hertogenbosch are equally encouraged to respond. If you are part of a club, organization, informal gathering, or any kind of group that wishes to explore one or more flaws—whether personal, societal, or symbolic—and would like to collaborate with an artist to transform these into an artwork for Bosch Parade, this is your opportunity. The open call welcomes proposals that emphasize the process of creation: proposals should be flexible, open-ended, and intentionally “porous,” allowing the project to evolve organically as the artist–community relationship unfolds. Bosch Parade seeks initiatives where the journey of collaboration becomes just as significant as the final artistic outcome.
