FRAU Creates Space* is a unique and powerful hybrid between a place of remembrance and an artistic platform. Since December 2023, this space has hosted regular exhibitions by contemporary artists that focus on critical topics such as femicide and violence against women. The exhibitions aim to foster solidarity and empowerment, providing a creative and thought-provoking response to these urgent social issues.

What makes this space particularly significant is its accessibility; the exhibitions are open to the public 24/7, ensuring that these crucial conversations are consistently visible and engaged with. By bringing these topics into constant view, FRAU* Creates Space emphasizes their relevance in society and the need for ongoing attention and action.

Housed in a former tobacconist’s shop, a location that once bore witness to acts of violence, this space has been transformed into a site of remembrance and reflection. However, it goes beyond mere commemoration. It serves as a hub for dialogue, offering room for discourse and inspiring ideas toward building a fair, non-violent future. Here, art becomes a vehicle not just for mourning but for imagining and creating new possibilities for a world grounded in justice and equality.
