In 2023, Lee Ufan Arles, the foundation created by the renowned artist and philosopher Lee Ufan, entered into a meaningful collaboration with Maison Guerlain, a house long recognized for its dedication to beauty, heritage, and environmental responsibility. Together, they established the Art & Environment Prize—an annual award designed to honor an exceptional artistic creation that embodies a universal resonance and a contemplative, philosophical spirit akin to that of Lee Ufan’s own practice.

The Prize celebrates works that explore the intricate relationship between humanity and the natural world, addressing the urgent concerns of our time through an artistic lens. In doing so, it reflects Maison Guerlain’s deep-rooted commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and the elevation of creative voices.
