Emerging from Loewe's legacy as a craft workshop founded in 1846, this annual competition underscores the cultural significance of craftsmanship and its shifting role in the modern era. Each year, the prize receives submissions from talented artisans from around the world, highlighting a wide range of skills and creativity within various craft disciplines. The recipient will be granted 50,000 euros, and the shortlisted and winning works will be displayed in an exhibition and featured in a catalogue in Paris in spring 2024.
