The Luminarts Visual Arts Fellowship provides an award of $10,000 to each artist who is chosen for this prestigious program. In addition to the main fellowship award, Visual Arts finalists will receive a $300 honorable mention award. This distinction recognizes the impressive quality of their work, even if they are not selected as the fellowship recipients.

The program also invites artists who incorporate moving images or video into their artistic practice to apply. These artists may submit brief video clips of their video-based work alongside images that show the broader context or installation. However, it is important for applicants to know that the Luminarts Visual Arts Fellowship program does not currently accept submissions for standalone short films, focusing instead on artwork where video is integrated into a larger installation or mixed-media piece.
