For countless generations, cultures around the world have recognized water as the lifeblood of existence. This ancient belief, once rooted in tradition and myth, now finds support in modern science. We now understand that water has been present in the cosmos since the dawn of time, playing a fundamental role in the formation of stars and galaxies. Yet despite our growing knowledge, water continues to hold fascinating secrets. While traces of water molecules have been identified in frozen and vaporized forms across the Universe, Earth remains unique in hosting this vital substance in its liquid state. Our planet’s delicate balance of temperature and pressure makes this possible, giving rise to the conditions that sustain life. Liquid water has not only served as the cradle for Earth's earliest organisms but also remains essential for the complex web of life to flourish in the future.
