About the Freund Teaching Fellowship
Founded: 1986 by Henry L. and Natalie E. Freund
Purpose: To advance contemporary art at the Saint Louis Art Museum and support art education at WashU’s Sam Fox School
What the Fellowship Provides
A $45,000 award to support your teaching and creative practice
Dedicated studio space within the Sam Fox School’s art facilities
Full access to specialized shops and labs (wood, metal, digital, print, sculpture)
A solo exhibition of your artwork at the Saint Louis Art Museum, including curatorial assistance and exhibition planning
