Back in the 1930s, the influential Siglufjarðarprentsmiðja publishing house boldly introduced the first-ever Icelandic-language comics, leaving an indelible mark on the nation's artistic landscape. Today, as Siglufjörður proudly hosts Iceland's first-ever comics festival, it carries forward this tradition, celebrating the vibrant world of visual storytelling that was first nurtured within its fjord-side streets.
