The Taipei Design Award (TDA) 2025 has officially launched its 18th edition, once again opening its doors to innovative minds and creative professionals from all over the world. Designers from various disciplines are invited to submit their work and participate in one of the most influential international design competitions in Asia.

Held under the visionary theme of “making design the driving force to shape a better future,” the Taipei Design Award has evolved into a global platform that champions diversity, creativity, and innovation. By bringing together ideas from different cultures and backgrounds, the competition aims to contribute meaningfully to urban progress, industrial advancement, and overall quality of life. Through the TDA, Taipei City strengthens its identity as a global design capital and a hub for forward-thinking innovation.

To further align with its goals of fostering sustainable urban development and deepening the relationship between the Taipei Design Award brand and Taipei City, the “Taipei Impact Design Award” was introduced in 2023. This special award category focuses on the theme of “Sustainability and Inclusion.” It seeks design solutions that address real-world challenges in Taipei—such as environmental sustainability, carbon neutrality, social equity, urban resilience, and inclusive community care.

More than just a competition, the TDA serves as a global platform for design exchange, encouraging dialogue across disciplines and promoting the co-creation of better living environments. It plays a key role in enhancing Taipei’s design visibility on the international stage while driving the value chain of design industries toward innovation and societal impact.
