Whether you are an emerging artist in search of a decisive platform to launch and shape your career, or an established professional looking to expand your reach and deepen your recognition, the Homiens Art Prize offers a highly respected and merit-based pathway into the international art sphere. Built on principles of fairness, excellence, and inclusivity, the prize stands as a prestigious gateway to meaningful industry acknowledgment and long-term professional development.
Open to artists from all backgrounds, disciplines, and geographic regions, the Homiens Art Prize is designed to accommodate the full breadth of contemporary artistic practice. Submissions are accepted across all mediums and formats, including painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, printmaking, installation, and audiovisual works, among many others. There are no restrictions regarding the year of completion, allowing artists to present both recent and earlier works. Likewise, there are no imposed themes or size limitations, ensuring that each submission reflects the artist’s authentic creative vision without constraint.
Each round of the competition culminates in the selection of three winners, twelve finalists, and up to two hundred highly commended artists. These selected artists are presented within our quarterly exhibitions, offering a curated and internationally accessible platform through which their work can be experienced by a diverse global audience.
As a leading international initiative distributing over $12,000 USD annually in unrestricted funding, the Homiens Art Prize is proudly non-acquisitive, meaning artists retain full ownership of their work. Beyond financial support, the prize is structured to foster measurable professional growth by positioning artists within a carefully developed ecosystem that connects creative practitioners with key figures in the global art market, including curators, public institutions, and private collectors.
In addition to exhibition opportunities, the prize amplifies visibility through dedicated programs such as Meet the Artists, the Promoted Artists initiative, and The Art of Art: Interviews. Together, these platforms provide artists with valuable exposure, critical engagement, and the opportunity to share their practice with a wider international audience.
