Artists — the Fall 2025 Hopper Prize open call is officially live! This season, The Hopper Prize is thrilled to expand its grant program, with increased award amounts designed to provide even more meaningful support to creative professionals. Two artists will each receive $4,500, and four additional artists will each be awarded $1,000 to advance their artistic pursuits.

Since its founding, The Hopper Prize has been dedicated to amplifying the voices of emerging and mid-career artists by offering not just funding, but also visibility and validation. The organization’s mission is simple: to help artists continue doing what they do best — creating ambitious, thought-provoking, and original work.

Each year, The Hopper Prize runs two open calls for submissions, offering artists worldwide the opportunity to be part of a growing network of forward-thinking creators. Every grant cycle brings together a new group of artists selected for their unique vision, technical excellence, and potential to shape the future of contemporary art. Recipients are chosen solely on artistic merit, ensuring that creativity and innovation remain at the heart of every decision.

The Hopper Prize embraces the full spectrum of visual expression, inviting submissions from artists working in any medium — whether it’s painting, printmaking, sculpture, video, performance, photography, new media, or interdisciplinary forms that push boundaries and defy categorization.

But the impact doesn’t stop with the grant winners. To further elevate artistic voices, 30 shortlisted artists will also be interviewed and featured in The Hopper Prize’s online journal, giving them a platform to discuss their process, ideas, and inspirations. Their work will additionally be highlighted on the Hopper Prize’s Instagram feed, reaching an audience of more than 150,000 followers — including curators, collectors, and fellow artists around the world.

With increased awards and expanded opportunities for visibility, the Fall 2025 Hopper Prize continues its mission to champion creativity, encourage experimentation, and celebrate the power of art to inspire and connect.
