The John Glover Art Prize (commonly known as the Glover Prize) is a prestigious award celebrating exceptional landscape paintings of Tasmania. Hosted by The John Glover Society Inc., it welcomes entries from artists worldwide, including local, interstate, and international participants.
The prize includes a cash award of $80,000 and a bronze maquette of colonial artist John Glover (1767–1849) crafted by Peter Corlett, valued at $5,000. Additionally, exhibited works compete for other accolades such as the People’s Choice Award ($3,000), the Children’s Choice Award ($500), and the Hanger’s Choice Award ($500).
Judges will also bestow two "Highly Commended" awards featuring commemorative bronze medallions designed by Jennifer Mann. While the Glover Prize is acquisitive, the People’s Choice Award is non-acquisitive.
The finalists' paintings are displayed annually at the Falls Park Pavilion in Evandale, Tasmania.
