VisArts is inviting applications for the Emerging Curator Program, which offers new curators a unique opportunity to collaborate with an experienced mentoring curator in creating an exhibition for the Kaplan Gallery in the fall of 2025.

The program is aimed at emerging curators or artists who have a strong interest in curating and exhibition-making. The selected Emerging Curator will have the opportunity to work closely with a mentoring curator to develop their own exhibition while also assisting the mentor with their exhibition. An important component of the program is the development of educational programming that enhances visitor experiences by fostering social interaction, creativity, and audience engagement.

As part of the program, VisArts will provide the Emerging Curator with a $10,000 budget for exhibition-related costs and curatorial fees. Additional financial and staff support will be available for promotional materials, printing, and the implementation of exhibition programming. The program is a year-long commitment, starting in January 2025.
